Welcome! Founded in 1895, the National Medical Association, and parent organization, has labored over a century to ensure access to medical care for minorities in America. Today the organization is over 16,000 physicians strong; yet despite its efforts, there is still a national epidemic for culturally sensitive doctors in medically under-served communities.
As an extension to the national efforts of the NMA, the Virginia State University Medical Association conducts health fairs in under-served communities that provides desperately-needed medical care and wellness retreats to low-income and no-income families. The Association is committed to improving the quality of life for children everywhere and invites every American citizen and corporation to join us in bringing much-needed health care to those in need.
$15 a month...just 48 cents a day, will provide the medical equipment and supplies to cover the cost of indigent care; your special gift will ensure every child has access to proper immunization, necessary prescription drugs, and the general services required to restore personal health.
