Voices of the Children - VOC
VOC's purpose is to provide vital educational services and encourage self-esteem and self-preservation among the women and children of Ghana. We strive to provide education, encourage communication and build support systems.
Our Mission
We believe that by providing accessible education to all children, they can improve their own lives and those of their families. Our programs encourage self-esteem, communication and acceptance between mothers and with their children.
In Ghana, women and children are taught to be submissive and compliant. As a result, many children born with birth defects or physical infirmities are left to fend for themselves or worse. Those who are lucky enough to be spared are not permitted to attend school and are denied social interaction. Our organization seeks to change the current belief system that the ill or physically challenged do not deserve of education and protection, by introducing programs that are designed to teach children and their families.
There is much work to be done, and our ambitions are tremendous. That's why we need your help. Please donate to Voices of the Children today and help us to reach our goal that no child in Ghana is left behind.
