The mission of the Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway is to preserve and protect the Blue Ridge Parkway for future generations through education, conservation, preservation and community involvement.

Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway needs your donations to support the following current projects:

- Viewshed Restoration Project:

The preservation of the Blue Ridge Parkway Viewsheds is the number one priority of the organization this year. They have thousands of trees to plant. The organization is involving students and children in the process. This educates the next generation about the value of preserving the fragile ecological barriers along the Blue Ridge corridor.

- Environmental Weekends:

Educating the public to the preservation needs of the Blue Ridge Parkway increases their individual responsibility, commitment and conservation of our Parkway's natural resources. Education is critical to preserving and protecting the pristine natural beauty, ecological vitality, and distinctive heritage of this corridor.

-In-Kind Contributions Needed:

Computers, web site development, marketing, office equipment, etc are all needed to increase both efficiency and public awareness of our projects and needs.
