Sea Turtle Inc. of South Padre Island rescues and rehabilitates stranded and injured sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico. We also offer twice-weekly "meet the turtles" shows in our efforts to educate the public on the endangered status of these creatures. We are about to lose our current facility and are hard at work raising funds to build a new facility in honor of Ila Loetcher - "The Turtle Lady" - who has been working to save the sea turtles - particularly the Kemps Ridley - for several decades.
