Children's Rainbow Mountain Retreat
A break in the storm, a joyful retreat and the knowledge that dreams can come true, these are the things we provide for children with life threatening illnesses, special needs and disabilities, or who have experienced extreme trauma. We believe that a dream retreat in the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, filled with laughter and joy, will lift the spirit, enrich lives, create memories, and strengthen hope in a better future. We sprinkle a little magic into the lives of these children and their families.
We offer the children a 3 to 5 day retreat, with their families. The trip, the stay, the meals and all the activities are free of charge. The activities for "our" children range from planned group activities, evenings around the campfire, pony rides and fishing in the pond, to a day at Dollywood. We want the children to enjoy themselves.
With understanding and love, we soothe mind and body, lift the spirit and build new hope. Play and laughter will strengthen the families, produce a positive outlook for the future, and create wonderful memories forever.
It is never to late to dream and reach for the stars. The light of joy in the eyes of these children and their families is our mission and our reason to do our best. No star hangs too high, no child's dream shall remain out of reach. Won't you help a family heal and a child dream again?
