Genealogical Research Society of Northeast Pennsylvania (GRSNP)
GRSNP is dedicated to computer indexing the name of every person who ever lived, worked, married, or died within the six county area of northeast Pennsylvania. Our mission is to make this index information available to serious family historians without regard to profit, prestige, or financial gain. Our members, many with roots in northeast PA, but now living in one of 30 states, do this data entry in the comfort of their homes. This information is vital to a successful and pleasant search. many times an ancestor was born in one county, married in another and had children in another. Cross matching of an ancestor's travels relative to events in his life saves a great deal of time and frustration when the only information available may be limited and undocumented. This single and ofttimes unverified information can lead to many frustrating hours of unsuccessful searching. Our information will direct the searcher to a repository, a volume, a page and often a line number where their correct name is located.
