Legacy Health Foundation, Inc.
The Legacy Health Foundation is a progressive health and hunger initiative that strives to combat hunger in a new way -- holistically addressing the growing interrelated problems of hunger, malnutrition, chronic disease, and toxic elements in our food and environment. We believe that feeding the hungry alone is only a short-term solution.
Many people are unaware of the multitude of harmful chemicals and other toxins present in our food supply, and the significant negative impact they can have on human health. If you are contaminated with toxins that can trigger disease, and are weak, malnourished, and unable to fight disease due to the lack of nutrients present in most foods, it can become very difficult to recover or maintain a state of good health and function as a productive member of society.
For this reasons, our approach is multi-disciplinary. Unlike most other hunger programs, the Legacy Health Foundation strives to reinforce, through educational initiatives, that critical to healing and maintaining good health is the elimination of toxins and the addition of highly nutritional elements.
We also foster preventative and non-invasive approaches to healthcare, distribute health and nutrition information, and provide access to non-toxic organic and natural foods that those who need the most are typically the least able to afford, and health-promoting products that are free from pesticides, steroids, antibiotics, bleach, preservatives, radiation, additives, neurotoxins, genetically-modified and artificial ingredients, dyes, chemicals, and other contaminants.
Our ultimate goal when providing nutritional and health information and products is the significant improvement of eating habits, lifestyle habits, and overall health and well-being to a level that will enable our clients to be more self-sufficient, productive, and to have the strength, confidence, and state of mind and health to be able to independently take positive and proactive measures that will enrich their lives, and that of their families and community.
The Legacy Health Foundation's products and services touch individuals within every cultural and socioeconomic group, and are provided at little or no cost. Our clients include children with learning disabilities, health problems, and limited access to nutritional foods; the elderly, who often have special health and nutritional needs; the chronically ill, where traditional medical treatments have failed; and the economically disadvantaged, including the indigent, the unemployed, and the homeless.
Although the effort is appreciated, and the intentions good, food products typically provided by hunger organizations that serve the needy, due to cost constraints, are often inexpensive, contain many toxic additives, and have little nutritional value. The Legacy Health Foundation endeavors to both promote awareness of toxins in our food and environment and to provide healthier choices for the less fortunate, including access to wholesome non-toxic foods, nutrition information, motivational support and encouragement, complementary natural healing products, and preventative healthcare information and options that will enable our clients to make informed decisions that can help them improve and maintain their health for life.
