Faith at Work FoundationFaith at Work exists to help orphaned children to meet their physical, emotional, and educational needs. Our organization provides all of the children with clean water, food, and clothing. We also encourage and help the children get to the local school so that they can receive an education. In addition, we will help the children get to health clinics in order to receive regular checkups and any necessary medicine. We will initially help children who are orphans in the rural areas of the Ashanti region of Ghana, Africa by sending them to orphanages that can take them. In the future, Faith at Work, Inc. would like to open up an orphanage for the children who have no family to turn to. Faith at Work, Inc. will strengthen the existing fragile health system in poor areas of Africa. We will send medical supplies and other resources to enable current trained health professionals to address the tremendous need for these resources. We will assist the healthcare system through volunteer programs and any monetary assistance that we can for purchasing vital medical supplies. We will work with local doctors to provide the essential medical care needed in Uganda. In the future, we will expand our programs to other areas of the world that have many people who need assistance. We will initially assist those in need in the rural area of the Ashanti region of Ghana, Africa; we will then move to other countries in Africa; and we will also begin programs in our local communities in the United Sates. Our goal is to assist orphaned children in need by giving them educational opportunities, food, healthcare assistance, clothing and shelter. We will establish a community of contributors, a web site presence, and will raise funds through speaking engagements. As the organization grows, Faith at Work will establish a Pediatric Aids Clinic in Ghana, Africa. This clinic will be offered at no charge to the children. The clinic will assist the children with medications and treatment for HIV positive children, will provide hospice care for orphans who have AIDS. The clinics goal will be to reduce the death rates and improve the health development of children with HIV. In the future, we will look to educate those in the United States and in Africa about HIV/AIDS prevention. We will promote voluntary testing and a survival support plan; educate the public about how to live safely with children testing positive for HIV; how to care for infected children; promote advocacy for HIV/AIDS orphans, etc. We will offer community after-school community programs in the United States. We will also promote a Kinship Care Program which will focus on a family/community based foster care. We will in the future offer services to help parents, foster parents, mentors, and orphans in the United States. Visit the Faith at Work Foundation home page. |
