WiredPatrol
WiredPatrol is one of the programs formed by WiredSafety.org, your one-stop help solution for anything that you need help with online. WiredSafety is the world's largest online safety and help organization, and is a 501(c)(3) organization. WiredPatrol combines the expertise and devotion of thousands of people. It is headed up by Parry Aftab, an Internet lawyer and one of the leading Internet security, privacy and safety experts in the world. Her work and the work of the group under this and our former name (Cyberangels), have been recognized worldwide as the leading Internet help resource in the world.
Our specialized cyberlaw enforcement teams were formed to combine the expertise of tech security experts and law enforcement. Realizing that the greatest problem we face in preventing and prosecuting cyber-crime is the lack of resources, training and funding for law enforcement agencies worldwide, WiredPatrol cyberlaw enforcement and security teams were designed to bring together law enforcement volunteers and civilian volunteers to help prevent and investigate complaints of cyber-criminal activity and assist these law enforcement groups. The civilian volunteers, in special teams called WiredHelp and WiredAngels also help victims of cyber-harassment, scams, identity theft and fraud learn how to protect themselves and their privacy online, when laws do not exist to protect them. WiredPatrol always work within the applicable law, and do not permit their members to pose as victims for undercover activities.
Whether you're a victim of cyber-crime or are being cyber-stalked, harassed or defrauded, want to report child pornography or cyber-predators; even if you just want to learn how to protect your privacy online, we can help. We care.
Our Mission is to help create a safe more secure Internet. The Internet has no geographical boundaries and neither does WiredPatrol. We have volunteers from around the world, and are able to assist victims in several languages. WiredPatrol operates entirely online through unpaid volunteers.
