University Neighborhood Housing Program
University Neighborhood Housing Program is a collaborative two member corporation created by Fordham University and the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition (NWBCCC).
Our mission is to create, preserve and finance affordable housing for the residents of the Northwest Bronx. UNHP sets about accomplishing our mission by issuing loans from our market rate and low interest loan funds, providing technical assistance to not-for-profit housing companies, community controlled buildings, tenant groups and community groups and organizing around issues that impact housing affordability.
Recently, UNHP has created the "community resource guide" to assist other nonprofits, primarily in New York City, find data on their communities on the internet. The crg, located at www.unhp.org/crg.html guides users through the often daunting task of finding data on the web in both a step-by-step way for beginning users, and a quick-links section for more advanced users.
