United Hospice of Rockland
United Hospice of Rockland (UHR) is a non-profit organization serving hundreds of terminally ill patients and their families each year in Rockland and lower Orange counties. Founded in 1988, UHR concentrates on the entire person -- physically and emotionally, enabling those in the final stages of an illness to live in comfort, at home, surrounded by their loved ones. We are proud of our reputation in the community as a premiere resource on death and dying and we offer bereavement support to anyone in the community, regardless of whether a family member has been on our program. Additionally, we offer an extensive children's bereavement program and conduct support groups in the schools as well.
