Save Our Cats, Kittens and Strays - SOCKS
Your $ helps translate into healthcare, shelter and food but also spays, neuters and vaccinates cats on the street.
SOCKS - Save Our Cats Kittens/Strays - is a spay/neuter program. We are a grassroots organization formed by concerned citizens who saw a need in the community that was not being served. SOCKS has been successful by promoting a spay/neuter program for many of the homeless strays and feral cats that roam about. Our goal is to reduce the number of feline pregnancies and the overpopulation of cats in the community as well as improve the quality of their life by spaying/neutering vaccinating and also educating the public of responsible ownership.
People need to be responsible by spaying/neutering their pets. All it takes is one male and one female cat to produce 3 litters in 1 yr. multiply that by the average number of kittens in a litter {4-6} thats not even counting the kittens in that litter which can also produce kittens in that same year. In 7 years one cat and her offspring can theoretically produce 420,000 cats.
We also have adopted many cats and kittens out that were taken away from feral moms that were socialized by foster people through socks.
