The Samaritans of New York
The Samaritans of New York is the local branch of the world's oldest and largest humanitarian movement devoted to preventing suicide with over 400 branches in 32 countries today. Samaritans operates a 24-hour, non-religious, completely confidential suicide prevention hotline staffed by trained volunteers, peer support groups for those who have lost a loved one to suicide, and provides public education, suicide prevention awareness and training.
