Digital Literacy Alliance, Inc.The volunteers of the Digital Literacy Alliance, Inc. are individuals who combine their efforts to generate support and develop resources to promote the use of digital technologies and literacy in order to strengthen cross-cultural exchanges between individuals specifically in Ghana at the Duakwa Vocational and Technology Institute (DVTI) and generally throughout West Africa. In collaboration with the people of Agona Duakwa the Digital Literacy Alliance, Inc. has developed plans for a library in Agona Duakwa that will serve children and adults in the Central Region. Named for a revered Queen Mother of Agona Duakwa, the Yaa Nyarkoa Library will serve as a focal point to promote a love of reading and an opportunity for increased literacy among the people of the Central Region of Ghana Through the use of interactive technology as well as traditional instructional methods, the volunteers of the Digital Literacy Alliance, Inc, will support initiatives to provide digital literacy resources accessible to individuals in Ghana. It is the policy of the Digital Literacy Alliance to foster a community in which the diversity of all members is respected, not to discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, sex, age, marital or veteran status, or disability.
