These teams are united to promote a positive self image to the public by raising funds for charity through spirited competition. Our goal is help those in our communties who are in need, especially the youth of our country. We are able to accomplish this by raising funds for education and also by coaching these youths away from drugs by exemplifing the positive aspects of hard work and dedication clearly demonstarted in our pursuit of excellence both at work and on the field. The NPSFL is represented in the following cities and counties: New York's Finest, Bravest & Boldest, Tampa Guardians, Palm Beach Bandits, Lansing Blue Knights, Washington DC Lawdogs, LA Centurians, LA Heat, Orange County Lawmen, South Bay Knights, San Diego Enforcers, Houston Gunners, Harris County Calvalry & Ft. Worth Rangers. NYPD 2004 Champions The NYPD Finest beat the Phoenix Thunder in a defensive battle for the 2004 NPSFL Championship. The NYPD led 6 - 0 on two field goals at the half, but couldn't manage a second half first down as the Thunder ran back a fourth quarter punt to tie the game and force overtime. In the shoot-out, the Thunder had the ball first, but couldn't put any points on the board and the Finest hit their third field goal of the day to win the National Championship 9 - 6. Special thanks to the Philadelphia Blue Flame for setting up and running a great event. Congratulations to the Houston Gunners, winners of the Division Two Championship which took place on Sunday, August 8th, 2004 at Las Vegas Vegas High School, Nevada. The Gunners were triumphant over the LA Heat. Special thanks to those who helped the NPSFL pull off a great event. Staging events like those mentioned above takes a great effort from all those involved. Much planning and many hours are dedicated to the success of the NPSFL and the individual teams. It is our hope that through the continued efforts of league members along with contributions from both the private and public sectors we will be able to raise our expectations and enable the NPSFL to more readily accomplish its mission.
