H.O.R.S.E. Rescue & Sanctuary
We are a non-profit horse rescue and sanctuary located in western, NY, USA. The Rescue takes in equines of all ages and breeds from a variety of circumstances and rehabilitates them and places them in loving homes whenever possible. Those animals too traumatized by abuse or neglect will stay at the sanctuary for the remainder of their lives.
The Rescue has taken in nearly four hundred horses since it's inception in 1996. The Rescue currently houses seventeen horses including one pony. An additional seven horses are in temporary foster care homes due to lack of space at the main facility.
In addition to the horses, the Rescue is actively involved in working with children and disabled adults and special needs children. We also work with scouting and 4-H groups. The Rescue receives no state or Federal funding and is solely dependent on the generosity of corporate and private donors.
