Here's Life Inner City New York
Here's Life Inner City New York (HLIC New York) is an urban non-profit organization that partners with inner city ministries in hopes of seeing wildly successful churches throughout every needy area of NYC. Here's Life has also expanded to 14 cities across the U.S.
This month, HLIC New York is hosting a "Dine In" campaign to raise money to sponsor 7,000 Boxes of Love. What is a Box of Love? For only $36.71 a box of food is delivered to families in need just in time for Thanksgiving. Each Box of Love feeds a family of six and includes a ham or chicken along with vegetables, potatoes, juice, yams, apple or cranberry sauce, bread, fruit, dessert, and more ... plus Christian materials. Each Box of Love will provide a family in need with a Thanksgiving feast.
In New York City, the average cost for a meal out is $40.78 per person. This year, when times have been especially tough for New York's poorest, we're asking people to "Dine In" for just one night instead of going out to dinner. The way you "Dine In" is by cooking at home and saving money that would have been spent eating out. With the money saved you could provide an entire family of six with a Thanksgiving feast by sponsoring a Box of Love.
