Good Shepherd Services
Rooted in work that began in New York City in 1857 and incorporated in New York State in 1947, Good Shepherd Services is today a non-sectarian 501(c)(3), social service and youth development agency that works with over 10,000 NYC children and families each year. We provide a continuum of citywide residential, foster care/adoption, and professional training services as well as a network of over twenty community-based programs in the South Brooklyn neighborhoods of Red Hook, Gowanus, Wyckoff, Carroll Gardens, Sunset Park, and Park Slope.
Good Shepherd Services‰ mission remains constant in a changing world: to provide quality service to individuals consistent with their dignity and to communities consistent with their needs; to advocate zealously for principles necessary to empower those with whom we work; and to lead in the development of innovative programs that insure access to the future.
