The Fund for AnimalsThe Fund for Animals was founded by best-selling author Cleveland Amory, who has served unpaid as its President since 1967. Headquartered in New York City, The Fund operates fifteen regional offices, three world-famous wildlife sanctuaries, and four low-cost spay and neuter clinics for dogs and cats. Dedicated "to speak for those who can't," The Fund uses education, litigation, and direct action to fight sport hunting and to protect wildlife and domestic animals. In the past 30 years, The Fund has achieved numerous victories for animals, including landmark lawsuits to protect hundreds of endangered and threatened species. The Fund is currently working to halt the killing of bison outside Yellowstone National Park, to end pigeon shooting contests in Pennsylvania, to ban the trophy hunting of bears, to help residents solve urban wildlife problems humanely, and to provide hands-on care for the hundreds of rescued animals who live at our sanctuaries.
