Calvary Bible College & Theological SeminaryInstitutional Mission - Calvary Bible College and Theological Seminary is an independent, nondenominational institution of higher education whose purpose is to provide both undergraduate and graduate education that prepares Christians to live according to a biblical worldview and to serve as Christians in the church and in the world. This is accomplished by providing appropriate educational curricula and a climate which fosters the development of intellectual and spiritual maturity, leadership potential, servanthood, and a sense of mission. College Mission - The College provides undergraduate instruction in Bible and theology, general education, and professional studies aimed at cultivating the personal, spiritual, and academic growth of each student. Students earning a baccalaureate degree major not only in Bible and theology but also in their chosen professional major. Seminary Mission - The Seminary provides graduate instruction in Bible, theology, and professional studies for qualified students, preparing them for a professional Christian ministry within and through the Christian church and church-related ministries. The mission is accomplished through quality academic instruction on the undergraduate level, encouragement in the development of the student’s spiritual life, and a requirement of ministry in a local church. Purpose - The purpose of every program at Calvary is to teach students Bible and theology and to prepare them for Christian ministry. Calvary offers a five-year program leading to the B.Mus. degree, 13 four-year programs leading to the B.A. or B.S. degree, a two-year program leading to the A.A. degree, and a one-year certificate program. Our educational programs emphasize biblical studies, complemented by general and professional education as well as practical field experience. Biblical Foundation - The Bible is the heart and core of every educational program at Calvary Bible College. Theologically, Calvary can be described as fundamental, premillennial and dispensational. Accreditation/Associations - Calvary Bible College and Calvary Theological Seminary are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools; the Commission on Accreditation of the Association of Biblical Higher Education (formally AABC); and the Association of Christian Schools International. ACSI accreditation does not extend to the Graduate level. Calvary has a rating of IV-AG in the publication Transfer Credit Practices.
