FAMCO
FAMCO is a nonprofit organization focusing on the financial crises of single parent families. FAMCO provides short-term emergency assistance and referrals to these families. The organization was developed by three grandmothers who have nurtured and financially assisted over a hundred children over the years with their own funds. Having done so, the founders became acutely aware of the special needs of single parent families.
FAMCO relies on contributions of both money and time from individuals and other organizations to operate program services. Our goal is to raise enough funds in the form of cash contributions, professional service commitments, and donations of food, clothing and furnishings gift certificates to assist at least ten families per month.
