Alliance For Children
Alliance For Children is a non government, non profit national coalition of Child Rights Organizations in Mauritius.
OUR MAIN OBJECTIVES:
- to foster networking and information sharing among Ngos working to promote and protect the Rights of the child in Mauritius.
- to provide a forum for advocacy and lobbying for children Rights within the framework of the UNCRC, its protocols and all other Human Rights instruments.
- to foster awareness about and solidarity around Children's Rights situations,issues and initiatives in Mauritius and Rodrigues.
- to inform and educate member organizations,Children and general public on the Rights of the Child.
- to conduct research studies and compiled statistics/documentations on Children.
- to develop programs for the welfare of the children.
- to build collaboration with government,development partners,civil society and other stakeholders and foreign and international Organizations.

VOLUNTEERS:
We welcome local and foreign volunteers with expertise in relevant fields viz; organizational development, fundraising, programming, research and development, advocacy, disability etc.
FUTURE PROJECTS:
- The setting up of a modern national Training and Resource Center at Vacoas. (Estimate MRU 10 millions - approximatelyimately USD 350,000)
- Supporting the opening of five Special Schools/Centers for Children with disabilities in Mauritius and Rodrigues. (Estimate MRU 7.5 millions - approximately USD 250,000).
- Development of a special program for the networking of Children on wheelchairs through IT. (Training, provision of computers and internet facilities to be provided free of charge). First phase Estimate MRU 10 millions approximately USD 350,000.
This organization has informed us they are qualified under its local country tax law to receive tax deductible contributions.
