H.F.M. Introduction

Hope Foundation Ministry is a faith Based Organization based in Thuchila, Mulanje and was formed in 2005 and formerly launched in 2007 by community people with the aim of caring and empowering as well as supporting poor and vulnerable groups in our area and empower them with various skills, knowledge and sharing of best practices for effectively delivery of good services to instill positive values, foster good citizenship and build self-confidence among young people whereby create and involve them in ministry activities.

Hope Foundation Ministry is from the Bible extracted from 1st Corinthians 9Vs10, we should plow in hope and that he that threshes in hope should be a partaker of his hope.

Structure For Hope Foundation Ministry

The Ministry has got the Coordinator, Programmes officer, Finance officer, Projects officer, Public Relation officer, and three elders the Ministry has got seven [7] youth partner organizations and community based organizations that are under the Ministry.

Mission Statement

To establish spiritual relationship among poor people as well as community members and those infected and affected.

Vision

All partner youth organizations/groups shall be economically empowered with gender balanced/good governance skills with quality and high quality education in taking charge of their own key community problems to achieve their daily human basic needs in an integrated manner, with the entire necessary social infrastructure.

Goal

To be the reading FBO through support and care for Gods people in Thuchila.

Objectives:

1. To promote abstinence among youths
2. To Increase care and support for targeted groups
3. To promote Human rights among young people
4. To promote equal participation regardless of gender, Culture, Ethnic, Religion and Disability

1. Capacity building - Leadership skills and training
2. HIV/AIDS prevention and advocacy
3. Prison visitation
4. Vocational skills
5. Support to OVCs and street kids
6. Support to the poor through loans

The following shall be the areas of interest to achieve the Mission Statement. Mission according to HFM means the inner most of our feeling for kicking towards meeting the goal.

1. Lack of office operational [Rentals]
2. Lack of support to reach to rural isolated areas to meet youth who are active and are doing fine for their community and serving youth
3. Lack of documentation materials like; Computers, printing machine and digital camera for capturing of photos/activities for reporting
4. Lack of donors due to isolated catchments area

2. To construct a vocational skills centre where the following skill will be offered; Carpentry, Tailoring, Computer
3. To carry out capacity building programs for youths
4. To start and introduce Youth Internet café as one way of organization source of income and sustainability
5. To provide relief items to the displaced people
