World Vision India
World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organisation working to create lasting change in the lives of children, families and communities living in poverty and injustice. World Vision serves all people regardless of religion, caste, race, ethnicity or gender.
World Vision India is an independent entity within our country with a distinct national identity. An active Indian Board of Directors governs World Vision. World Vision’s programmes are facilitated by Indian staff teams and have over 40,000 Indians partnering us in programmes.
Internationally, World Vision emerged as of a faithful expression of God’s love.
From humble roots, World Vision international has grown into a worldwide partnership helping children around the globe. Today, World Vision India is an important member of this partnership, which works in 97 countries and is a leader in Transformational Development for the poor, in emergency relief and food distribution.
World Vision has consultative status with UNESCO as well as official relations with key UN agencies including UNICEF, WHO, UNHCR and ILO. We are also a member of a number of inter-agency coalitions.
