Venkateswara Eye Research Institute
Ours is a Non Government Non Profit Organisation registered under the Societies Act since 2004 & under 80GOF I.T.. We serve the eye patients through our base hospitals 2 Ophthalmic Surgeons & 4 para medical staff.
Projects:
- School screening programme: Under this programme we examine the eyes of school going children in their schools, treat them accordingly & provide free medicines. We look for sponsorships @ US$ 1.00 per child.
- Operations in our Hospitals: Under this programme we conduct free operations such as Cataract, Glaucoma, Entropion & others where we provide free medicines, food & spectacles. We look for sponsorships @ US$ 30 per operation.
- Rural Eye Camps: Under which we conduct eye camps in backward rural villages for helpless, poor & aged blind patients where we examine & provide free treatment & conduct operations there itself & provide free medicines, food & spectacles. We look for sponsorships @ US$30 per operation.
We undertake various research projects at our hospital to develop new techniques and methodologies to treat patients i.e. stem cell transplant in o.s.d., phacotrab a new glaucoma surgery, Phacotomy a new bimanual phacosurgery etc.
