TAPRISH
We wish to introduce ourselves as a registered [NGO] non-profit organisation functioning in the state of Tamilnadu. We are currently serving people in five districts in India, Tamilnadu, Chennai, Erode, Kanchipuram, Karur, Sivagangai and Tuticorin. Our service is to the lesser privileged children, people and families in the backward areas. Our activities center around the following:
- HIV / AIDS : Make the people aware to protect them from the HIV/AIDS, Care & support to the PLWHAs, Education to the PLWHA's negative Children.
- Downtrodden Children : Providing education through the day care center, residential schools, tuition centers and related activities to encouraging children.
- Handicapped Children : Providing education, raising funds to provide for mobility equipment like crutches, two-wheelers, tri-cycles, etc.
- Supporting Old age people : Helping them to apply for Old Age Pension, guiding them for eye care and health treatment.
- Watershed Management : Teaching people in conserving and productively using the water resources for a cluster of 3 to 4 villages in a district, also teaching them new agricultural activities and plantations which bring in more revenue in a short span using lesser water, educating villagers on EDP (Entrepreneurship Development Programme) to reduce migration in villages, also providing AIDS awareness programmes in villages as people tend to migrate in and out at least twice a year. We are currently working on a project with NABARD in Kanchipuram district. We are also work on educating people towards an eco-friendly environment.
- Self-Help Groups : We are also working for SHGs in our areas in order to enable groups to start EDP programmes.
