Servants of the People Society is a National Organisation working for the
upliftment of the society through a wide Network all over India. It was
founded by Lala Lajpat Rai in 1921 during the period of Indian Independence
struggle with the idea of training youth as 'National Missionaries', whose
sole object would be to work with a spirit of sacrifice and for the good of
the society.
The Chandigarh Chapter of the 'Society' is presently involved in social
activities aiding in the development of the poor and the weaker sections of
the society.
