HUMANITY IS ABILITY AND DISABILITY
Vision: Promoting accessible and inclusive community for person with disability with special focus on children with disabilities to have opportunity for holistic human development so that they lead a life with dignity by combating discriminatory attitudes, which denies the basic rights of person with disability for their sustainable human development.
Target area: slums in Bangalore - urban and semi-urban
Core objectives:
- Developing Inclusive Education that accommodates every child needs who have various differences and promoting this system in other places.
- Ensuring all the disabled children / adult in our target areas are able to get appropriate aids and appliances, physiotherapy, therapy and appliances repairing facilities at affordable rate.
- Developing and promoting Barrier free environment at schools, public transports, Government offices and public places.
- Ensuring Rights and entitlements of Disabled persons through advocacy groups such as CBOs of disabled mothers, PWD organization and NGOs network etc.
- Developing employment opportunities in order to make self-reliant.
