Olivia Minority Educational And Social Development Society - OMESDS
Dear Friends
Most honored Brother/Sisters your excellency may I honor and be felicitated in His exalted name. In fact this is a blessed occasion for me to come closer to your good selves with my Introduction and activities that we carry out.
I am Lakshmaiah Pulivarthi. Recently, on the call of the Lord, I have established a society named "OLIVIA MINORITY EDUCATIONAL & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY" - (OMESDS). For your kind information , I am the Founder and President of the society.
REASON FOR ESTABLISHING THE SOCIETY:
God who is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient blessed me with preparedness to work among the poor, needy, downtrodden, depressed, oppressed, Reasonists, Atheists, handicapped, HIV affected, pagans and Non Christians.
He also encouraged us to introduce His spontaneous love through Socio-Gospel means. So far, with our minimum income raised from the few poor local believers, our society tries to extend the means to the above said categories. The living standard of the above said people must uplifted and upgraded using His perfect love in this regard. I, together with my office bearers, humbly come to your good selves in His most precious means so that many more people may be benefited and blessed.
OUR VISION:
Most beloved brother, God gave us a vision to reach the unreached with salvation and redemption. For your kind information, there are many millions of people in our soil left without Christ since we stay in the southern part of India and we come across many people who worships idols, snakes, trees, house, animals, birds. In this risky venture, we have been very much particular about the introduction of His love and through socio-Gospel means therefore, we would like to plant over 200 churches by 2008. At present I have 18 pastors with me who have been working on a no salary basis. We neither have funds from abroad nor from our country. We have been working hard up to the extend we can despite our financial weakness as we have no sources of finances.
MY TESTIMONY:
We were very staunch Hindus. We had negative attitude towards Christianity. Christianity in no way should influence Hindus was our intention. Our religious fanaticism did play a great role in our desire to assassinate the Christians. But my father was a laborer in the fields. Jesus the Mighty Lord caught my father there in the fields. That incident made him so happy that we were all introduced to His perfect love. No idols, no snakes could help us, but Jesus and, united with other saintly brethren, in His precious and holy blood could.
OUR PLANS:
- STREET CHILDREN - We are very much committed to work among the street children and to lead them to the Lord and His kingdom.
- POOR WIDOWS - Jesus wanted widows therefore he accepted poor offerings of widows. He gave life to the widow's son. So far over 100 widows are in our consideration as their creator is their HUSBAND.
- HIV PEOPLE - This a chronic and spreading problem in our society so, on considering their situation in the society, we would like to work among them as they are also co-creation with us.
- ORPHANS - It is a must on our part to work among the orphans to guide them towards Christ because many were corrupted due to the lake of a guardian.
- HANDICAPPED - Mentally handicapped (mentally retarded), physically handicapped, visually handicapped (blind), such people are in our consideration. There are lot of people who suffer daily with their disability. Even many more not have even their wheelchairs or sticks to walk. They always need some ones help, even when they go to school and colleges.
- DISEASED PEOPLE - Hepatitis-B, Dengue fever, Leprosy, Cancer affect many people in our society so we have targeted such diseased people to reach them through socio-Gospel means.
- EDUCATION - In one way we can say that education is main root of all these defects in our society, so we take informing education as our motto. Providing the primary education, higher education, technical education to those who are unable to receive education due the need to pay lots of fees and and lack of income sources to lead a better life. OMESDS found a solution for such children and is giving them education with along with the best nourishment by also providing food and clothes with out their parent involvement.
- PREACHERS WELFARE ASSOCIATION - Many preachers in south India don't have any financial aid and spend their miserable life keeping their faith in God. Many pastors died without being able to help their own families with things like marriage for their children and a proper education for their children. So, by our mission, we raise some alms from local believers and help the needy pastor and, after their death, we take care of their children. At present we have 87 preachers in our consideration. Every month we collect some money like each 30 rupees from a pastor and we use that money to help needy pastors for uses like children marriage, medical treatment etc.
Due to the lack of financial resources, we have not be able so far to design the website. It is our plan that to design the website provided we are blessed with financial support from God.
