Lovedale Foundation
Lovedale Foundation is an independent, secular, non-governmental social development organization, which has been active in the field of children's needs, education, concerns and rights since 2001. Its activities focus on promoting education for the less privileged, neglected, abandoned children and orphans.
Lovedale does not believe in charity. We do not run formal schools, but a bridge school. Ours is not an orphanage, though orphan children live with us, but a foster home. We work close with the child helpline of the Bangalore City Police commissioner's wing MSV which rescues children from difficult situations, such as child labor, abandoned, born to HIV infected sex workers, runaway children etc. We have witnessed transformational change happening over the last 7 years experience.
Lovedale is a fully integrated not-for-profit organization that delivers innovative module in education in rural India. We intend to redefine the existing education system with scalable and sustainable solutions, which empower the deprived children to grow up with quality education that puts them on par with other children, fighting to break the vicious cycle of poverty and helping them grow into able youth of tomorrow.
