IZAD
IZAD is an idea of social change. It is still embryonic because the idea sprouted on 22nd August, 2002 has just started taking shape. "IZAD" is derived from the Urdu word IZAD means "Invention". It is not merely a word; it is a dream to put in continuous efforts to lessen human pain and suffering and to foster development of weaker sections on a sustained basis. The founder of the organization had a professional education background of social work from the Institute Of Social Service, Bihar and had dedicated his golden 17 years in practicing and translating the theory into action.
The Organization firmly believes that the essence of development is contained in the fact it is about humans and the quality of their lives. It further feels that the issue of inequity can be corrected by addressing problems in the existing institution, relationship and Social Organizations Focus Area.
The Organisation: - The Vision of IZAD is to develop itself as a unique and point of excellence by utilizing need based, innovative methods to establish a just society where the people, with particular thrust to the advantaged class, will lead an honorable life:
- Empowerment of the peoples to fight for their rights.
- To run a campaign against hunger, poverty, illiteracy, exploitation, gander discrimination, child labor.
- To find ways and means to make education a fundamental right for children.
- Mass campaign for Land Rights in Bihar.
- Prepare a platform for women to fight against women atrocities viz. dowry death, witch-hunting, rape, sexual torture, wife beating and house violence.
- Organize awareness campaign to promote leadership among Dalits & Women.
- Struggle for minimum wage.
- Struggle against corruption.
- Meeting, seminar, and cultural activities for socio-economic development.
- Dharana (sit in protest) and rally for pressure building on Govt. to be accountable for public interest.
- Necessary Minutes to carry out:
- Land, wage & Employment are the basic needs for Dalits and weaker section in Bihar.
- Land Reform Act is being not implemented honestly by the Bihar Govt. still today.
- Atrocities against women are increasing and house violence is on top priority.
- Govt. machinery is not accountable to provide civic amenities to people viz. Health facility, Education facility, Electricity & Drinking water.
- Caste violence, massacre and counter violence is the on basis of land dispute.
