Bose EMLC
BoseEMLC has a charitable wing which provides free eye treatment and surgical facilities to the poor. It has a highly specialized pediatric wing for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the poor pediatric patients. Other than free eye treatment and surgery, it has a specialised team for school health programme, health care training, training for the visually handicapped.
The director, Dr Arup Kumar Bose has a vision for:
A) Provision of affordable, appropriate & accessible eye care to the economically backward community of rural areas.
B) Provision of a complete spectrum of eye care to the underprivileged backward & illiterate rural community by imparting comprehensive services in preventive, promotive care and creating awareness among the masses for health care & cautioning them against the undesirable ramifications.
