Main Objectives:

To provide educational assistance, free tuition, nutritious food, medical assistance in remote villages and moral classes.

Projects:

• Day Care Centres: We really feel that Education is one of the gifts which one can give to the poor to make them self supporting citizens in future. The major key areas of intervention are Education, regular schooling support, Health and nutritious and moral classes.
• Educational Assistance: BSSS helps the poor students with school bags, uniforms, fee and necessary items for their education.
• Medical Camps/Medical Aid: Medical facilities are very limited in the villages in and around Thally Block, Krishnagiri District. BSSS comes forward to help those needy people who cannot afford essential treatments. BSSS also facilitates Medical Camps on a regular basis in the villages where no medical facility is available.

The people in this area are mostly illiterate. They are economically poor with agriculture labour, animal husbandry and other related profession as their main job. Also most of the people are landless laborers with the profession of cutting wood in the forest and selling them in small town. Most of them are hill tribes and scheduled castes. Since they do not have a steady income throughout the year, they encourage their own children to come along with them for labor work at times not giving importance for education. Because of this attitude of these people, the formal education of their children is spoiled. As a result children become school dropouts. So our Day Care Centre Project is very useful for these children.
