Affus Woman Welfare Association (AWWA)
Affus Woman Welfare Association was established in 1999. Affus Women Welfare Association (AWWA) is a socio-economic association established for the aim to improve the social, economic and mental condition of women at the grass root level. Our organisation conducts programmes in:
- Health
- Educational
- Vocational and
- Microcredit programmes to self help groups and provides very poor families with very small loans (micro credit) to help them engage in productive activities or grow their small businesses.
- Beauticians
- Tailoring
- Soft toys
- Painting
- Embroidery
- Consumer awareness camps
- Pulse-Polio programme
- Women and child Welfare Programmes
- AIDS Awareness Camps and many such activities.
AWWA's proposed programmes for the year 2004-2005 are:
- From 1st March to September 2004 (6 months) we are planing to conduct free beauty culture training course for 28 poor students.
- From 24 April 2004 to 24 May 2004 we are planing to conduct free ribbon embroidery, soft toys, pot painting, fabric painting and bag making training for the poor.
- From 1st September 2004 to February 2005 we are planing on conducting free cutting and tailoring programme for 60 destitute women.
- From 1st May 2004 to 15th June 2004 in Association with Henna Export Corporation, Haryana we are planing on conducting a free mehandi training camp for 120 poor women for self employment.
- From 2 October 2004 to 14 November 2004 we are conducting free home appliances repair training for unemployed youth.
- We are planing to construct a women hostel for children and destitute women.
- Old age homes for the elderly homeless.
- Computer course for those who cannot afford to pay fees
- We are planing to conduct free cutting and tailoring programme for 100 poor women and provide them each with a sewing machine .to support their families.
