AKSHAYA Rehabilitation Trust
The long forgotten section of society rise to claim their equal opportunity and full participation due to HUMAN DIGNITY under as one the AKSHAYA Rehabilitation Trust - Disabled Peoples Organization (DPO).
In 1998, the group of Disables felt that Disables Rights based issues and Disability Development programs could be addressed more effectively only through an Institutional Mechanism. So, we have started "AKSHAYA Rehabilitation Trust" as a registered Voluntary, Non-Profitable and Tax Exempted Organisation under Indian Trust Act with the group of the Physically Challenged Wheelchair Persons in the same year to work for the disables empowerment.
Since than "AKSHAYA" has been undertaking some initiatives fulfilling the demands of its constituency. This formed the basis for "AKSHAYA Rehabilitation Trust" in 1998 to address the issues of disabled persons in a comprehensive manner.
Our Motto: "BY", "OF", "FOR" - the Disables.
Our Vision: AKSHAYA envisions "A Society where persons with Disability Attain Holistic Development through Social Inclusion and equal opportunity and full Participation".
