Annai indira Sathya Samuga Nala Mahalir Madram - AISSNMM
AISSNMM has been serving since 1986 at Sivagangai District in Tamilnadu to upgrade the rural downtrodden on Socio-Economic, Educational and Empowerment matters especially for women.
Handicraft training is a vital role of women employment opportunity in rural areas. We gave training to 950 members. AISSNMM SHGs have advised that they had much more interest to develop the bio-diversity system for their environmental development.
Solid waste programme was supported by CPRI foundation. CAPART also supported us for DWACRA training, low cost latrine, social animator training, hand pump system, public co-operation programme for a community well. Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment supported us for a day care centre programme. Ministry of Health supported us for promoting a six bedded hospital on basis of family planning, AIDS awareness training for FSW (Female Sex Workers) and truck drivers.
We have 150 SHGs at Sivagangai and S.Pudur Panchayat Union in Sivagangai district. We are already supported by WACC-UK for environmental and educational programme, UNESCO-Japan for non-formal education and women Sangams, TDHNL-Netherlands for Children’s Health Programmes.
We have already planned to start a nursing college for female students at Nagamangalam in Sivagangai District. Unfortunately, we couldn't completed the institution due to lack of financial support. Now we expect financial assistance from other side for our institution and its development.
Our main concept is free education to rural poor on employment opportunity creation. If others or funding agencies or Individual are ready to support to complete our Institution, we will serve our people for health improvements and employment opportunities. Through this institution we can rectify the deficit of ANM workers at rural level.
Most of the trainees are selected from destitute women groups and their children, widowers, SC and ST women and their Children.
The awareness about health will be Increased among local masses.
The Institution is situated on National Highway 45B in Trichy-Madurai Road at Nagamangalam.
