The Baby Harper Project is in honor of Harper Danica Margerison, born November 17, 2011 and diagnosed with SMA Type 1 a week later. This purpose of this site is to provide information and resources on Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1, and a place for support for families touched by this disease.

SMA Type 1 is the leading inherited killer of children under 2. Due to the efforts of donations, researchers, doctors, and medical staff around the world, great strides have been made in understanding this disease and some medical treatments are now in clinical trials. We are now closer than ever in finding a cure for SMA.

This organization has informed us they are not qualified under their local country tax law to receive tax deductible contributions.
