Our Mission Statement

Epworth United Methodist Church is a family of followers of Jesus Christ. Founded in grace, united in support of each other; we share our faith through worship, study, prayer, and action.

Recognizing the violence and brokenness within our society and ourselves; we believe in the possibility of repentance, reconciliation, and change. We are called to speak out on issues of peace and justice, and to point the way to hope and healing for all who despair.

Our commitment to our neighborhood is to be a compassionate advocate for children and youth; to serve the needs of the homeless, the elderly, and disenfranchised within and around us. We work with others to forge an open and caring, multicultural community.

Respecting the differences created by age, race, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, social and economic condition; we affirm the presence and seek the participation of all persons regardless of these distinctions. Depending on God's grace ourselves, we seek to represent that grace to the world. We welcome all of God's children without reservation.
