Ada County Freecycle Group
Begun on November 11 2004, the Ada County Freecycle group replaced the Boise Freecycle group which is a branch of an incredibly fast-growing international Freecycle movement, that began in Tucson, AZ on May 1st, 2003 and now boasts over 1,751 offshoots from Japan to Wichita, with more than 570,516 members. Our local list is also growing fast with some 1300+ members (lots of great people in our community, as you know!); in fact, we are the largest Freecycle group in all of Idaho! And if you tell your friends and relatives about it, and they tell theirs...well, you get the idea.
When you want to find a new home for something -- whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, or an old door -- you simply send an e-mail offering it to members of your Freecycle group.
Or, maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself. Simply respond to a member's offer, and you just might get it. After that, it's up to the giver to decide who receives the gift and to set up a pickup time for passing on the treasure.
One main rule: Everything posted must be free, legal, and appropriate for all ages.
