Baragua's purpose is to promote physical, mental and ethical discipline through Judo, a martial art. Judo, which literally means "the gentle way," is an Olympic sport and a form of self-defense. Baragua is committed to helping individuals of all ages by training their minds and bodies so they can be responsible, productive members of society. The corporation is tax exempt under Section 501 c-3 of the Internal Revenue Code. A major focus of the Judo academy is to help reduce the crime, violence and lack of discipline that currently exists in our communities. Baragua's Judo improves the person's self-esteem, problem solving skills, and physical well being, while learning self-defense.
