Women on the Way Recovery CenterWomen on the Way Recovery Center is a non-profit community care, Christ centered twelve step recovery home located in Hayward, CA. Women on the Way Recovery Center (previously known as Women of Faith Recovery Homes) was founded in May 1995 by Liz Mann, Executive Director. The home was born out of Liz's vision to provide a safe, loving environment where women earnestly seeking recovery could begin to journey towards physical, emotional and spiritual health. Women on the Way Recovery Center provides a structured safe haven where women can regain their health, mental stability, and dignity through a program of recovery and education to break the cycles of abuse and addictions. The program empowers the women to explore alternatives in recovery and teaches them to take responsibility for their own lives. We offer a structured, comprehensive case management, combined with spiritual principles with the (12) twelve steps of A.A. and N.A. in a supervised environment. The programs' goal is to empower our residents through rebuilding family and community support systems, promoting self-esteem, personal growth, and laying the foundation for financial self-sufficiency. Our residential home has birthed women who have attended trade school and college, renewed their family relationships, and who are now active, productive women of society, serving the Lord in various ways in their communities.
We believe in one God, existing externally in three persons, identified as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and also referred to as the Holy Trinity. We accept the Lord Jesus Christ as the only begotten son of God the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe that He was crucified, buried, raised from the dead the third day, that He ascended to heaven, and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor. (Hebrews 1:1-8, Colossians 2:9, I Timothy 3:16, Acts 5:13, Matthew 1:18-20, John 3:16, Luke 1:26-31). We believe in the power of God and the gifts of the Holy Spirit (Act 1:8, 10:38; Corinthians 2:4,5,12:1-11; John 14:12). We believe God is a good God and He wants all of us saved, healed, and prosperous (Jeremiah29:11, 3 John 2; Philippians 4:19, John 10:10). Women on the Way Recovery Center believes that in order for a women to truly heal emotionally and break the cycles of addictions, one must seek God's love, redemption, and grace. We believe the with God, all things are possible. We have seen many miracles in women's lives and we look forward to many more.
