Steele-Wright Residential ProgramSteele-Wright Residential Programs includes a therapeutic group home, which provides residential services to at-risk adolescents who may have histories of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, often accompanied by substance abuse. Many of these adolescents are previous placement failures. The program accepts adolescents between the ages of 11 and 17. Steele-Wright Residential Programs has the capability to work with residents beyond their 18th birthday, provided they continue to work on a high school diploma or GED, will receive their diploma or GED prior to their 19th birthday, and both Steele-Wright Residential Programs and the placement worker believe that Steele-Wright Residential Programs continues to be an appropriate placement for the resident. Residents may have emotional or adjustment problems and may be in need of special environments to enhance their chances of continuing their learning and life experiences with individualized treatment and educational programs. |
