Rising Star Children's Musical Theatre Troupe
The Mission of Rising Star Children’s Musical Theatre Troupe is to educate children in all aspects of creating a musical theatre production and see their creation take on a life of its own as they perform the show in a professional theatre. The learning process will be offered in an environment of non-violent communication and respect for the child. Our intention is to educate in an atmosphere of mutual respect and joy.
In other words we want EVERYONE to have a whole lot of fun while learning to excel in the theatrical arts.
Rising Star's objectives are three-fold:
- To thrive as a performing arts company comprised of children. The company includes acting, dancing, singing, musical styles, comedy & character acting, set design, and costuming.
- To reach out into our community for financial support to help cover production costs with the goal of offering our workshop at little or no cost to the participants.
- To produce the most professional children's musical theater possible. Our focus is on children as the performers. Our intention is that each production will offer an opportunity for each child to discover a new level of competence, self-esteem and confidence.
