The MS Awareness FoundationThe MS Awareness Foundation is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to making today a better day for those who live with MS. You will find credible, reliable information that's sure to be of interest to all who are affected by MS. There are links to an abundance of medical resources, other nonprofit organizations, online MS communities and wonderful Home Pages published by talented and knowledgeable people who share their personal experience with MS. And don't miss the "Yes, You Can!" exercise video page! You see, the founder of The MS Awareness Foundation, Nancy Yaeger, was diagnosed with MS in 1986. She is an active person and was frustrated for years that there was no home video exercise program that she could do! So, her first priority as she formed the Foundation became the production of this much-needed exercise video specifically for those with MS. The program was carefully designed by a talented and dedicated Physical Therapist, Dr. Mary Hudson-McKinney. It was reviewed and endorsed by Dr. Louis J. Rosner, who recently retired as Head of UCLA's Neurological Department. But most importantly, all of the video participants have MS. We get wonderful feedback from those who use the program at home as well as many expressions of thanks from the growing number of Physical Therapists who use it with their patients. We also hear from neurologists who say that it feels great when they have something like the "Yes, You Can!" video to recommend to their patients. This is a very special video. So, be sure to drop in and visit. We know you'll be glad you did! |
