Leah Prunty Dance Arts
Leah Prunty Dance Arts is a Nonprofit youth dance organization that provides an all-inclusive after school program created to help put performing arts programming back into Middle and High schools throughout Los Angeles County, the nation and eventually the world. LPDA also seeks to remedy the massive budget cuts to arts funding, help reverse the drop-out rate among teens, and reduce adolescent obesity. The youth, with their many talents and fresh creative ideas should be nurtured in order for them to feel secure in expressing these world-changing attributes, and LPDA seeks to be a mentor in helping them to do just that. By providing cross-disciplinary applications of dance, academics and technology, LPDA will be a leader in the provision of after school programming in the arts that enhances students learning aptitude, and divulges real-world career competency skills.
