Our mission is to provide free social services to homeless and low-income men, women, and children. We seek to end hunger and homelessness in our community through our programs.

Desert Manna is the only homeless shelter and utilities assistance agency in the Barstow, CA area. We are also the largest food program with a food pantry and soup kitchen. Each year, we provide more than 55,000 services to homeless and low-income men, women, and children. Our programs are run mainly by volunteers and we have a very low administrative budget. We have been in existence since 1989. We do not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, ability or any other category.
