Center for Cultural Interchange - CCI
Help us in our mission to educate global youth by opening your home to the cultural exchange experience or work with us to advocate and support students and families involved in student exchange as an Area Representative.
Established in 1985, the Center for Cultural Interchange assists over 3,000 students from overseas and from the U.S. in short term 2-4 week long, semester or 10 month academic year programs. You can welcome into your home students from over 50 countries, including Germany, Brazil, Japan, France, Thailand, Belgium, Taiwan, Sweden, Spain, Vietnam. All that is required are a meals and a bed (rooms can be shared with host siblings). Host families can be all types - single or married, with or without children. Host families earn a tax deduction and a partial scholarship for any of our overseas study/work/volunteer abroad programs.
Through its partnership with the Greenheart Initiative, CCI offers a wonderful environmental aspect to our programs encouraging youth to engage in environmental education and volunteer projects, which CCI will fund and help organize.
Encourage youth to expand their horizons and learn from the actual cultures they only read about in books. We offer study abroad, internships, ecological tours on Ibiza island and volunteer service learning projects in Costa Rica for teens and adults.
Work as an area representative in the exciting field of cultural exchange as an advocate for the student and support for the host family and schools. It is part-time/at home work around your schedule on an independent contractor basis.
