Building Bridges Child Development Center (BBCDC)
A community oriented approach to early care and education. Building Bridges Child Development Center (BBCDC) is a charitable and educational nonprofit organization created to alleviate the need working families have for quality infant-toddler child care services in Alameda County and the city of Oakland. We offer a fixed percentage of sliding scale child care payments to low-income families and have one slot reserved for a child who has a diagnosed disability. Our site is to be established as an observation center for prospective early childhood teachers and/or students. Our program is to additionally serve as a model program that demonstrates how the community can get involved in supporting families trust our child care service and feel supported to maintain their family’s economic stability and retain or obtain full time employment.
